lst file (with the correct channel mapping - if there even is one) into a 5.1 AAC file, this would be great. Maybe something is borked with the BeSweet/BeLight versions I have, maybe I am just too stupid to use these tools.īut if there is a command line, where I can convert a. I'd love to at least experiment with Multitrack WAV (which BD's can play back), or for internet "test-distributions" (and lower bandwidth) AAC audio. And I can always access a surround distribution house if it's really coming down to an official mass-distribution release. Of course I know of solutions like Sonnox/Fraunhofer and for AC3 and DTS the well known Surcode Solutions (sadly, the latter is Macintosh only). For this I don't want to invest hundreds of EUR. Why am I looking for a solution like this? After several hours of frustration, and not finding anything of use on the web (including Hydrogen Audio and Doom9 - boards I'd rather not visit anymore), I thought "maybe Gearslutz can help". something, but I don't get any files on output. I also tried BeSweet directly, but I can't setup the AAC file quality, and again - it didn't do jack in terms of exporting. There seems to be a way where you can create 5.1 AAC streams with a tool called BeSweet, in combination with the BeLight GUI (which has a nice discrete WAV selector and sorting tool) and the Nero AAC CODEC. Which I do use for main stereo encoding purposes - haven't fully switched to AAC yet however. The main alternative I know and seems to be recommended up and down, is the old and IMO great Nero AAC Encoder. I was hanging around the net for the last day to find possible alternatives. exciting (to say it in a calm way).įunds are tight as freelancer, so I sadly can't access the regular Fraunhofer ProCodec so I could easily render out of Cubase. But I just read that surround support in Wavelab is still not really. Funny enough, the ProCodec is built into Wavelab 8.5 now (to which I've yet to update). At least up until 5.1 (7.1 support is still in the works it seems). I know that the Fraunhofer ProCodec is capable of doing that. I am looking for a solution to Encode a 5.1 stream (or even up to 7.1), discrete WAV files, into AAC. That is not the point why I'm writing however. Not necessarily for the Headphone Surround capabilities alone, but also due to the fact that the panner is so darn simple to use, so is the setup and export of streams beyond 7.1, etc. And I'm really thinking about picking it up.

I was recently experimenting with the IMO very interesting/awesome New Audio Technology "Spacial Audio Designer". And the search function is a powerful tool indeed.
Also use the multitrack recording feature to get the most out of the analog modeling application. Some of this question (which will probably expand to even more questions) were probably answered on GS. Connect your instrument to your iPad using iRig or iRig STOMP interface, or any other 1/4 inch to USB adaptor, and play straight through your iPad to take advantage of a variety of amps, effects and practice/jamming options.
